General symbols used throughout Oceans XStream

Symbol Description Meaning
Hand This symbol denotes buttons, with which you can stop running processes. You can stop individual recording and conversion processes, or you can click Stop all to stop all recordings and processes currently running.
Arrow This symbol labels buttons, with which you can start recordings and other processes like downloading and converting.
Gear wheel This symbol denotes files that are currently being processed by Oceans XStream (cutting, tagging, converting, ...).
1 Red exclamation point This symbol denotes files on which an error has occurred during playback, recording or converting, or post-processing.

Symbol Description Meaning
Diamond This symbol denotes stations that provide complete songs only, due to perfect cutting.
Bar graph This symbol denotes the popularity of a station. The greater the number of bars indicated, the greater the popularity among Oceans XStream users.

Star These symbols denotes stations that belong to your favorites. From left to right:
  1. station is on current primary favorite list
  2. station is on another favorite list
  3. another stream of this station is on current primary favorite list
  4. another stream of this station is on another favorite list
Pin This symbol labels the Pin button. Click the pin button to pin the current category to the Home view. In future, you can go to this category from the Home view with just a single click.

Yellow arrow

This symbol denotes the recordability of radio stations.

The fuller the arrow, the greater the amount of songs that can be recorded per hour.

Stations with an empty arrow 1, are unlikely to deliver individual songs. For example, because the station plays DJ mixes. You can record such stations continuously.

 

Recording starts as soon as the next, complete song begins.

If a station keeps showing a yellow arrow 1: the station's recordability is not sufficient for automatic song cutting.

Symbol Description Meaning
Bar graph This symbol denotes the popularity of a certain artist. Song wishes for popular artists are generally fulfilled faster than those by unpopular artists.
Text "Hit" This symbol denotes popular songs.
Folder This symbol denotes songs that already exist in your media collection.
Document with a check mark This symbol denotes songs that have been recorded within the current wishlist session.
Check mark This symbol denotes wishes that are fulfilled.

Symbol Description Meaning
Padlock This symbol denotes files for which playback is restricted in some way. For example, playback could only be possible on this computer, or only possible with a valid music service subscription.
1 Red exclamation point This symbol denotes files on which an error has occurred during playback, recording or converting, or post-processing.

Stacked documents This symbol denotes media files that exist at least twice in your collection (versions or duplicates).
Yellow Anywhere display This symbol denotes your Anywhere connection status. Yellow means active and waiting for data transfer.
Green Anywhere display This symbol denotes your Anywhere connection status. Green means ongoing data transfer.
